ADHD Coaching for Clarity, Confidence and Change
Perhaps you have recently received an ADHD diagnosis. Perhaps you have started to wonder whether ADHD or another neurodivergence might help explain some of your experiences.
You may be feeling overwhelmed, struggling to organise your thoughts, finding it difficult to get started, or wondering why things that seem straightforward for other people can feel unexpectedly hard.
ADHD coaching offers dedicated time and space to explore what is happening for you and what you would like to change.
Together, we can explore your individual strengths, challenges, patterns and priorities, and identify practical ways forward that fit you.
My coaching is informed by specialist neurodiversity training and my experience of working with neurodivergence in General Practice.
Who is ADHD coaching for?
ADHD coaching can be helpful if you are looking for a better understanding of how ADHD affects you and want to find practical ways of working with your individual strengths and challenges.
You might be:
- Recently diagnosed with ADHD and wondering what happens next
- Exploring whether ADHD could help explain some of the difficulties you’ve experienced
- Struggling with organisation, planning or getting started
- Finding yourself overwhelmed by everyday tasks
- Procrastinating even when something is important to you
- Finding it difficult to prioritise or manage competing demands
- Experiencing difficulties with confidence or self-belief
- Navigating changed in your personal or professional life
- Looking for ways to work with your ADHD rather than constantly feeling that you are fighting against it
ADHD can look very different from one person to another. There is no single way that ADHD coaching should look either.
My role is to understand your individual experience, help you identify what matters to you, and work alongside you to find approaches that are realisitic and sustainable.
What can ADHD coaching help with?
ADHD coaching can give you dedicated time and space to explore the areas of life that feel difficult, frustrating or overwhelming.
Depending on what matters most to you, we might explore:
- Organisation and planning – finding approaches that work with the way your brain works
- Getting started – understanding what is making a task difficult to begin and finding ways to move forward
- Procrastination – exploring what sits underneath procrastination rather than simply telling yourself to try harder
- Overwhelm – making sense of competing demands and finding ways to create more space
- Time management – developing strategies that are realistic for you
- Priorities – working out what really matters when everything feels important
- Confidence and self-belief – recognising your strengths and challenging unhelpful patterns of thinking
- Work and career – exploring challenges, transitions, goals and ways of working that suit you
- Relationships and communication – understanding how ADHD may affect interactions with the people around you
- Life transitions – finding your way through periods of change and uncertainty
You don’t need to work on all of these.
We start with what feels most important to you.
What is ADHD coaching?
ADHD coaching is a collaborative process that gives you time and space to explore your experiences, identify what you would like to change and develop practical ways forward.
It is not about telling you how you should live your life, and there is no single ‘right’ way to manage ADHD.
Instead we work together to understand what is getting in your way and what could make things easier.
Coaching may involve reflection, questions, practical strategies, identifying strengths, exploring different perspectives and agreeing on small steps to try between sessions.
The focus is on you, your goals and what you want to achieve.
Coaching isn’t medical treatment
ADHD coaching does not replace medical assessment, diagnosis or treatment. If you have concerns about your health or ADHD treatment, you should discuss these with an appropriate healthcare professional.
My role as a coach is different: I provide a confidential space to explore your experiences, goals and challenges and support you in finding your own way forward.
Your next step…
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start.
ADHD coaching is a space to pause, make sense of what’s happening, and explore what might help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
If this sounds like the kind of support you’ve been looking for, you’re welcome to get in touch to arrange a free, no-obligation conversation about whether ADHD coaching could be right for you.
